Leading Food Authorities Discuss Latest Nutrition and Culinary Trends at Inaugural Canadian Culinary Leadership Conference
Toronto, Ontario - March 2, 2010
Dow AgroSciences Canada in partnership with Richardson Oilseed Inc. is hosting the nation’s first-ever culinary leadership conference highlighting current nutrition research, legislation, consumer and culinary trends with industry leaders including Leslie Beck of Nutrition Consulting, Inc. and Jack C. MacDonald of Compass Group Canada.
“The food and restaurant industries are becoming really aggressive in offering healthier foods,” said Dave Dzisiak, Healthy Oils Commercial Leader, Dow AgroSciences. “As March is Nutrition Month, the food industry is kicking it off by sharing the latest in nutrition research and healthy innovations in the industry.”
This one-and-a-half day symposium at George Brown College from March 2 to March 3, 2010, is bringing together Canada’s top food industry members including chefs, business owners and corporate leaders. The conference will highlight presentations that integrate nutrition research findings and health policy guidelines, while featuring delicious and healthy food demonstrations.
Participants will specifically discuss ways the food industry can maintain the great taste of its foods, while making them more nutritious. Conference sessions will focus on a variety of topics including:

- A Global View of Public Policy
- Nutrition Research: What’s in the Crystal Ball
- Trends in Food Service: What Will Keep Customers Coming In?
